HKM has recently expanded in Montana and continues to grow throughout the United States.
We have an immediate opening for an attorney in our Bozeman, Montana office. We seek a
dynamic individual who brings an attitude of success to their work, shares a passion for
advocating for employees, and who is looking for an engaging work environment. We work as a
team but require independent work ethic and motivation while encouraging autonomy and an
ability to deliver results for our clients.

Lines of Communication
This position will work closely with our litigation teams in Washington, Oregon, and Montana
and will report to Managing Partner, Jason Rittereiser.
Requirements
Responsibilities
Represent employees in employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and participating in hearings and trials.
Negotiate on behalf of employees and provide legal advice to clients throughout the process.
Stay updated on federal, state and local labor and employment laws to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
Review and analyze discovery.
Manage all aspects of complex litigation, including briefing, discovery, depositions and motion practice.
Support case strategy and collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys.
Provide input and shape litigation strategy from early stages through resolution. Qualifications
Required:
o 3+ years of experience in civil litigation
o Understanding of state and federal employment laws and regulations
o Strong writing, research, problem-solving and communication skills
o Membership in the Montana State Bar
o A proactive, client-focused approach and the ability to work in a team-oriented
environment while also being able to work independently in a competitive
practice
Preferred:
o Familiarity with legal programs such as Westlaw, Monday, Clio, Eve Legal, and
various e-discovery platforms
