Key Responsibilities
- Guide fiduciaries through the administration of complex estates and trusts
- Prepare and file estate and gift tax returns, detailed accountings, and probate forms
- Create, help manage, and terminate various types of business and nonprofit entities
- Support litigation proceedings through drafting, research, and meeting preparation
- Research, analyze, and summarize law and facts relevant to client cases
- Effectively organize case files, records, schedules, and deadlines
- Proactively communicate with clients, institutions, team members, and others
Requirements
- 3+ years of direct experience in trusts and estates paralegal work strongly preferred (consideration may be given to extraordinary candidates with indirect experience)
- Juris Doctor (JD) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficient in emerging technologies and workflows
- Commitment to in-office work and collegial collaboration
