Description
This position provides a unique opportunity to support PCCP’s investment platform by partnering with PCCP’s Capital Market’s team to ensure seamless execution, while focusing on continuous improvement with a forward thinking mindset in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The Associate/AVP will take direction from the Managing Director of the Closing Group and require minimal supervision.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary PCCP Closing Group liaison for PCCP’s Capital Markets leverage execution.
Own the closing checklist process for back-leverage facilities, coordinating with lenders, legal counsel, and the Closing Group members handling initial loan origination.
Draft, review, and manage loan assignment documentation for repurchase agreements, including transfer agreements, reps and warranties exception schedules, reducing reliance on outside counsel.
Coordinate with PCCP’s Document Management team on the delivery of documentation to back-leverage lender custodians and legal counsel, as appropriate.
Clear custodial exceptions.
Support documentation and legal process management for new and evolving backleverage structures, including CLO execution, subscription facilities, and other structured finance vehicles.
Manage third-party sequencing, due diligence coordination, and closing deliverables for back-leverage transactions.
Contribute to the Capital Market’s process improvement agenda, including checklist standardization, documentation automation, and data entry.
Requirements
Juris Doctor or paralegal with 2–6 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, structured finance, or capital markets at a law firm or financial institution
Familiarity with back-leverage financing techniques, including repurchase agreement documentation, note on note financing, A/B and senior/mezz splits and related deal level mechanics
Strong process orientation and ability to manage multiple closings simultaneously with minimal supervision
