About the Position

VZ Law is hiring a full-time Litigation Paralegal with at least 5 years of paralegal experience. The selected candidate must have civil litigation experience and an ABA-approved paralegal certificate. The Litigation Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and clients on matters that impact families. The Litigation Paralegal is responsible for client communication and interaction, written correspondence, preparation of legal documents, as well as other administrative tasks around the office. The Litigation Paralegal provides excellent internal and external customer services and must be friendly and approachable while providing a professional, yet genuine concern for the welfare of our clients.

After completion of the introductory period, this position will be eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 remote work days per week. On-site work will be completed from the office in Downtown Long Beach.

Benefits
The compensation for the Paralegal is $85,000-$115,000 annually. This position is also eligible for the following benefits:

 Essential Position Responsibilities

•         Communication with clients, trustees, family members and beneficiaries. 
•         Mail, file service court petitions, responsive briefs and pleadings. 
•         Draft discovery and other legal documents. 
•         Maintain the court calendar for the attorneys, including calendaring client meetings, hearing dates, filing deadlines and reminders. 
•         Organize and assist in document production for trial.  
•         Maintenance of client files. 
•         Provide exceptional client service to all internal and external parties. 
•         Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

• ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.
• At least 5 years of litigation paralegal experience required. 
• Civil litigation experience required. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a variety of individuals.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow instructions.
• Comfortable working independently. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Impeccable attention to detail. 
• Experience in probate cases preferred but not required. 
• Experience with Clio preferred but not required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
