Established Family Law firm in White Plains, NY is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team. As an integral part of our legal team, the successful candidate will provide crucial support in navigating the complexities of family-related legal matters, ranging from divorce and child custody to adoption and domestic partnerships. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and empathy.
Responsibilities will include:
Draft and file Summons and Complaints, Verified Answers, Statements of Net Worth, Discovery demands, discovery responses, outline Motions, Uncontested Divorce Documents, Trial Witness Lists and Trial Exhibit Lists and notebooks, other trial documents
Maintain client files
Assist attorneys in trial preparation
Review document production and prepare discovery charts.
Maintain calendar for attorneys to ensure all Court dates, Discovery deadlines, Deposition dates and client meetings are entered and adhered to
Draft, send, and/or file letters to Court, other counsel, and clients.
Act as point of contact for clients to answer questions related to completing Statements of Net Worth, gathering and submitting Discovery documents, answering questions, and providing updates
Handle confidential information with discretion
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Family Law
