Mike Agruss Law is hiring a Paralegal Litigation Manager (WFH). Ideal candidates will have at least 5+ years of experience handling personal injury cases.
Applicants must live in Illinois, preferably in the Chicagoland area, and have an excellent knowledge of Illinois Civil Procedure and the local rules in Cook, DuPage, and Will Counties.
Experience with Litify is a plus!
Compensation:
75,000 + bonus
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for managing 100+ cases in litigation. You will supervise and support two legal assistants working below you, and assist two litigation lawyers.
You will also be responsible for the following:
Case Management: Organize and maintain case files, diary deadlines, and ensure all relevant documents, such as medical records, employment documents, and correspondence, are accurately filed and up-to-date.
Drafting: Draft necessary legal documents, including complaints, motions, and settlement agreements.
Discovery:Â Propound and answer the written discovery.
Client and Professional Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, insurance companies, and medical professionals, managing communication to ensure timely updates and information flow.
Evidence Collection and Organization: Gather and meticulously organize evidence, including medical records, witness statements, and employment documentation, to support claims.
Preparation for Hearings and Depositions: Assist in preparing for hearings and depositions by compiling relevant information, preparing exhibits, and ensuring all necessary documents and evidence are readily accessible for the attorney.
Qualifications:
Completion of the NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) certification program is strongly preferred.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and a talent for writing and grammar.
At least 5+ years of experience in personal injury.
Candidates should possess high-level organizational and time-management skills.
ABA-approved paralegal certificate program, such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor's degree desired.
