Company History

Jack Janney founded WJE in 1956 as Janney and Associates, a one-person engineering consultancy. Jack Wiss and Dick Elstner officially joined him in 1961 formally creating Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates. More than sixty-five years later, we have evolved into an employee-owned, international, interdisciplinary company with more than 750 employees in thirty offices worldwide; delivering practical, innovative, and technically sound solutions across all areas of new and existing construction.
