About the Role:
Haynes Kessler Myers and Postalakis is looking for a skilled and dedicated Family Law Paralegal to join our team in Worthington, OH. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys in a dynamic legal environment where your contributions truly make a difference in clients' lives during some of their most important moments.
Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, agreements, and correspondence related to family law matters
Assist attorneys with divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, and domestic relations cases
Manage and organize case files, deadlines, and court calendars to ensure timely filings
Conduct legal research and compile relevant case law, statutes, and regulations
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Prepare and file documents with Ohio domestic relations courts, both electronically and in person
Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing witness materials

Requirements
Requirements:
2+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in family law or domestic relations
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, or equivalent certification
Familiarity with Ohio domestic relations court procedures and e-filing systems
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
Strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Compassionate, professional demeanor when working with clients in sensitive situations
