We are partnered with a nationally recognized litigation firm seeking to add an experienced attorney to its Houston office. The firm is a leader in transportation, general liability, and casualty defense, serving as direct outside counsel to numerous Fortune 500 companies, national transportation providers, logistics companies, retailers, and insurers. Attorneys on this team handle high-exposure matters across Texas while working closely with sophisticated corporate clients on complex risk and litigation management strategies.

We are seeking an experienced Transportation & General Liability Litigation Attorney to join a highly regarded defense litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload involving commercial transportation, premises liability, rideshare litigation, last-mile delivery claims, catastrophic injury matters, and general casualty defense, while working directly with nationally recognized clients and industry-leading litigation teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of transportation, premises liability, negligent security, and general liability matters from inception through resolution
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including depositions, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, arbitration proceedings, and trial preparation
• Defend commercial transportation, rideshare, and delivery-related claims involving significant exposure and complex liability issues
• Serve as a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 clients, providing strategic litigation guidance and regular case reporting
• Work directly with corporate risk managers, claims professionals, and business stakeholders on litigation strategy and case management
• Collaborate with attorneys nationwide on catastrophic injury, multi-party, and complex casualty matters
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to client service initiatives and litigation strategy development

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active admission to the Texas Bar
• Experience independently managing cases and client relationships
• Strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience
• Experience handling trucking, commercial auto, rideshare, delivery, or general casualty matters is highly preferred
• First-chair or second-chair trial experience is a plus
• Strong written advocacy, client communication, and case management skills
