Paralegal – Litigation & Intellectual Property
Full-time with limited remote opportunity
Tampa, Florida
Job Responsibilities:
The role at the law firm is a detail-oriented Paralegal to support attorneys in complex litigation, trademark and copyright matters, media law, and general business disputes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound judgment, communicates professionally, and takes ownership of responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. The primary responsibilities include:
-Assist attorneys with litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
-Prepare, proofread, revise, and file legal documents in state and federal courts.
-Maintain litigation calendars and track court deadlines, hearings, and case milestones.
-Organize and maintain electronic case files and physical case files as needed.
-Coordinate document production, exhibits, and attorney materials for hearings, mediations, and trials.
-Assist with trademark searches, applications, filings, renewals, and portfolio management.
-Monitor and track trademark deadlines and USPTO correspondence.
-Prepare and maintain trademark and copyright records and databases.
-Coordinate with clients regarding trademark prosecution and maintenance activities.
-Assist with cease-and-desist matters, enforcement efforts, and intellectual property litigation support.
Salary
Competitive salary is commensurate with experience. (Pay type is hourly.)

Requirements
Education and Experience Information:
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies or a related area is preferred with at least 2 to 4 years of paralegal experience in a similar job or a Paralegal Certificate with 5+ years experience.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
-Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
-Experience supporting intellectual property, trademark, media, or commercial litigation practices.
-Familiarity with USPTO procedures and trademark portfolio management.
-Experience with state and federal court e-filing systems.
-Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
-Professional demeanor and strong client service orientation.
-Experience in NextPoint or Filevine a plus.
-Paralegal Certificate.
